Biography
2022-2023 (Indoor): Imani competed in the HBCU Showcase running a 1:09:22 400. In March she also ran the 200, receiving a impressive 29.25 timing. Imani also competed in the 4x400 placing top 3 in the competition with a 3:59.91 timing.
2021-2022 (Indoor): Imani continued to be one of the most versatile athletes on the team. She ran her best 200m time of the season at the Camel City Invitational where she ran a 27.82.
2019-20: Imani had a strong freshman season for the Rams as she proved to be one of the most versatile athletes on the team. She competed in both long sprints and throws during the season that was unfortunately cut short. She ran her best 400m time of the season at the Clemson Invitational where she ran a 1:02.57 and she added a season-best 27.99 in the women's 200m dash at the Mondo Invitational. She also ran a season-best 8.48 in the women's 60m dash at the same meet. She saved her best throw of the season for the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet where she recorded a season-best 24'11.75" (7.61m) throw.
Personal: Imani joined the Rams in the fall of 2019…She comes to Winston-Salem State after a great career at James B. Dudley High School where she earned several honors…She was her team’s indoor track MVP and she earned the Coaches Award as well as being named a Scholar-Athlete…She also competed in volleyball…She is an Exercise Science major and she is the daughter of Jeffery Neely and Loretta Tatum.
