Personal:
Janelle Codrington is a freshman on the Winston-Salem State University track & field/cross country team, majoring in Exercise Science. A native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, Codrington is a 2025 graduate of Oakland Mills High School, where she competed for Coach Chris Brewington and the Scorpions. During her high school career, she was part of a strong program that captured multiple titles, setting more than five school records and earning recognition as a state champion.
Off the track, Codrington enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is the daughter of Stacey Codrington, who works in finance and is a graduate of Francis Marion University, and she has one brother, Joshua. Codrington brings a strong work ethic and championship mindset to WSSU as she begins her collegiate career with the Rams.
