2020-21 Women's Track and Field
Biography
2019-20: Ojai continued her great career at Winston-Salem State University before the outdoor track & field season was canceled. She ran a season-best 12:0535 in the women's 3000m run at the 2020 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Track & Field Championship Meet. She also ran a 5:52.31 in the women's one-mile run at the Mondo College Invitational.
2018-19: Ojai returned for a strong sophomore season with the Rams…She placed 10th in the women’s 1500m run at the CIAA Outdoor track & Field Championships with 5:29.41 as well as placing 16th in the women’s 800m run with a 2:38.44….She ran a 5:22.29 in the women’s 1500m run at the Duke Invitational as well…Her best 800m time of the season came at the JCSU Invitational where she ran a 2:27.21 to place seventh at the meet.
2017-18: Ojai had a solid freshman season, but she was hampered by injury for much of it...During the indoor season, she ran a 12:35.4 in the women's 3000m run at the JDL New Year College Kick Off...During the outdoor season, she returned to run a 2:36.24 in the women's 800m run at the JCSU Invitational.
Personal: Ojai joined the Rams in the fall of 2017…She is a 2017 graduate of Concord First Assembly where she earned several honors…She was a first team all-conference cross country selection for all four years of her career as well as earning all-conference honors in the 800m run and all-state honors in the 400m dash…She is a Sport Management major and she is the daughter of Yvonne and Oscar Brooks.
