Biography

2019 -20: Victoria began the year with a great indoor track & field season. She finished the season with a bronze medal with a 24.93 in the women’s 200m dash at the 2020 CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. She also placed fourth in the women’s 400m dash with a 56.83. She was just as impressive in the classroom where she earned a spot on the Dean’s List in the fall of 2019. For her efforts, she earned team MVP honors.  

2018-19: Victoria stepped up her efforts as a sophomore and became one of the top members of the Rams’ squad…She competed in multiple events during the indoor season…Her best 200m time came at the JDL College Meet Madness when she ran a 25.17…She saved her best performance for the CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships when she ran a 55.16 in the women’s 400m dash and a 2:23.22 in the women’s 800m run…For her efforts, she was a selection for the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region selection…She carried her strong performances into the outdoor season as well…Her best 200m performance came at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational where she ran a 24.84…She added a 56.86 in the women’s 400m run at the Duke Invitational as well and she even ran a 1:02.70 in the women’s 400m hurdles at the Mount Olive Last Chance Meet…She also had a 17’9” (5.41m) long jump at the CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships…The highlight of the season came when she was a member of the Rams’ 4x400m relay team that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.

2017-18: Victoria had a great impact in her first season as a Rams…Her best indoor time in the 400m came at the Camel City Invitational when she ran a 58.95…She went on for a great outdoor season as well…She ran a 24.74 in the women’s 200m dash at the North Carolina A&T Aggie Invitational and she ran a 58.63 in the women’s 400m dash at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational as well.

Personal: Victoria joined the Rams in the fall of 2017…She is a 2017 graduate of Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, N.C….She is a Psychology major and she is the daughter of Doris and Marvin Porter.
