2022: Breona finished her senior season for the rams with 187 kills, 234.5 points, and 15 assists. She played in 26 of the teams 27 matches. She was also named Second-Team All-CIAA.


2021: Breona had a solid junior season for the Rams. She played in 18 of the team's 27 matches. She finished the season with 30 blocks, 53 kills and 10 digs. 

Breona joined the Rams in the fall of 2021. She came to Winston-Salem State University after a season at Norfolk State University. She played one season with the Spartans where she played in 16 matches with three starts. She finished the season with 18 kills, 17 blocks (none solo), and seven digs. Her collegiate career began at Chowan where she earned a spot on the 2018 CIAA All-Rookie Team and she led the team with 72 total blocks (35 solo). In high school, was the 2017 All-4A Conference MVP and she earned all-conference honors. She was also a three-time team captain and she led the conference in blocks. In addition to being a star on the court, Young is also a star in the classroom both at the collegiate and high school levels. She has earned several spots on the Dean’s List, the President’s List, and she has already earned an Associate of Arts degree. She also earned a place in Alpha Lambda Delta. In high school, she was an honor roll student, the National Dance Honors Society President, and a membership in the Science Honors Society and Student Leadership.
