2011: De Ann had a great first season with the Lady Rams program…She led the team’s defensive effort and was one of their top offensive performers as well…She played in 29 of the Lady Rams’ 30 matches with 26 starts…She finished the season ranked third in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) with 84 total digs (22 solo)…She also ranked third on the team with 177 total kills…Her best individual match came against Virginia union when she recorded a career-high 13 kills…She also recorded a career-high 6.0 total blocks (three solo) at Claflin…For her efforts, she earned a spot on the All-CIAA team.  

Personal: De Ann will join the Lady Rams this fall and will be one of many talented newcomers to the team…She joined the Lady Rams after playing two seasons at Sheridan College…She enjoyed a strong career with the Generals…She earned all-conference honorable mention and ranked 21^st in the NJCAA in blocking…In 2010, she earned an all-region academic award…She was also named to the all-tournament team at the Sheridan College Invitational…Also strong in the classroom, she was named to the Sheridan College Dean’s List…She attended The Alexandra School in Saint James, Barbados…She is a Communications major and the daughter of Patrick Smith and Rachel Sanderson-Smith.
