2009 (at North Carolina Central): Had another great season playing at North Carolina Central where she started in all 32 of the Lady Eagles' matches...She saw time in 111 of the team's 114 total sets...She led the team with 749 assists...She also added 13 service aces and 23 kills...She was also a solid defender with 167 digs and 24 total blocks.

2008 (at North Carolina Central): She made an immediate impact on the Eagles team with 123 assists for the season and adding seven kills...She also added 31 digs and three total blocks...She was also an academic star earning a place in the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and was named to the Dean's List.

Personal: Kiara will join the Lady Rams in the fall of 2010 when she joins a rejuvenated WSSU team...She is a 2008 graduate of Millbrook High School where she earned numerous high school honors...She earned All-Cap 7 conference honors in volleyball, basketball, and track & field...She also led her high school team in sets attacks, and service aces...For her efforts, she was named the Most Valuable Player and was named the Millbrook High School 2007 High School Female Athlete of the Year...She was also recipient of the National Leadership Award and the Kappa Charitable Trust Outstanding Scholarship Award...She is a Nursing major and the daughter of James and Stephanie Brown.
