Biography

2014: Had a great freshman season for WSSU…She was an immediate impact player for the team…She played in 27 of the team’s 30 matches, including 76 sets…She finished the season with 62 kills…She also added three assists…She recorded 17 service aces…Defensively, she was impressive with 51 total blocks (six solo)…The third most on the team.

Personal: Merissa will join the Lady Rams in the fall of 2014 where she is one of many talented newcomers to the team…She is a 2014 graduate of West Forsyth High School in nearby Clemmons, North Carolina..During her career, she earned numerous honors, including earning all-conference honors, the Most Improved Player award, and the Coach’s Award…She was also a star in the classroom where she was named to the A/B Honor Roll…She is an Exercise Science major and the daughter of Dodie & T.J. Littlejohn.
