2016: Sydney had a great junior season…She finished the season as one of the team’s top overall players…She was one of five players to compete in all 32 matches last season…She finished the season with 145 kills and 24 service aces…She also added 158 digs along with 32 total blocks (two solo).

2015: There was no sophomore slump for Sydney as she had a great season with the Rams last season...She finished the season with 212 kills to rank second on the team last season...She also added 15 service aces as well...She was more than just a strong offensive player as she also recorded 187 digs to rank second on the team...Her best offensive match of the season came against Livingstone when she scored 17 kills...She also added 15 kills at Virginia State...She recorded four service aces against Elizabeth City State...Defensively, she recorded 15 digs at Saint Augustine’s and also recorded 14 digs against Shaw in the 2015 CIAA Volleyball Championship match...For her efforts, she earned All-CIAA honors for the second season in a row.

2014: Sydney had a stellar freshman season with the WSSU volleyball program that ended in style…She was named the 2014 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Rookie of the Year in addition to earning first team All-CIAA honors…She played in 29 of the team’s 30 total matches, including 100 total sets…She also finished the season with 272 kills, the second most on the team…She also added 26 service aces with 17 assists…Defensively, she recorded 250 digs, the second most on the team as well…She also added 43 total blocks (six solo).

Personal: Sydney will join the Lady Rams in the fall of 2014 where she is one of many talented newcomers to the team…She is a 2014 graduate of the Voyager Academy in Durham, North Carolina…During her career, she earned numerous honors…She is a four-time all-conference player and was named the 2014 player of the year…She also earned the Captain’s Award four times as well…she earned the 2014 Team Award as well…She was also impressive in the classroom where she was named to the honor roll several times during her career…She is  n Exercise Science major and the daughter of Shawn and Jeanine Holland.
