Brandi Hopson is a Greensboro, North Carolina native and proud alumna of Winston-Salem State University who returns to her alma mater as an Assistant Cheer Coach. During her time at WSSU, Hopson was a member of the Powerhouse of Red and White before continuing her cheerleading career at the professional level, where she spent four seasons as a Carolina Panthers TopCat and was selected as the 2025 Pro Bowl Cheerleader. Her experience at both the collegiate and professional levels has provided her with a strong foundation in performance, leadership, discipline, and mentorship. In addition to her accomplishments in cheer and dance, Hopson was recently crowned Ms. Black USA 2026, further reflecting her commitment to leadership, service, and personal excellence. She now brings her experience, passion, and connection to WSSU back to the program that helped shape her while also proudly embracing her role as a mother of two.
