Ken Hill joined the WSSU football staff in the spring of 2026 as the Linebackers coach.

Hill served as Shaw University’s Defensive Line Coach from 2016 to 2024.He has been part of multiple successful Bears teams. Under Hill’s leadership, Shaw defensive linemen have earned multiple All-CIAA honors.

Prior to Shaw, he coached linebackers at Saint Augustine’s University and previously at Southern Durham High School, where he helped win one state championship and two conference titles.

A native of Henderson, N.C., Hill was an All-American and two-time All-CIAA linebacker at North Carolina Central University, where he holds the school’s single-game record with 24 tackles. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from NCCU in 1998.
