WSSU Men's Tennis Earns First Win; Defeats Saint Augustine's 8-1

RALEIGH, NC - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team earned their first win of the 2005-06 season on Thursday afternoon at Lions Park in Raleigh, NC as they grounded the Falcons of Saint Augustine's College by the score of 8-1.

The Rams won every match except for one as Saint Augustine's College recorded their lone point of the match when Charles Hinton dropped a three-set contest at third singles (7-5, 8-6, 6-1).

With the win, the Rams improve to 1-2 overall (1-0 CIAA). WSSU returns to action on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm when they play host to the Bears of Shaw University at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
