Rams Fall to Lenoir-Rhyne, 7-2

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Rams (1-3) opened home court on a down note with a 7-2 loss to the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, Saturday morning. The Rams fought hard, but could not get the key points to fall in the tough home-opener loss.

The Rams began the day with some early struggles, falling in three straight doubles matches. The freshman tandem of Creighton Jones and Chris Jeter had the best doubles effort for the Rams, falling 9-7 in the second doubles match. The Rams also took losses in the #1 doubles match (8-4) and #3 doubles match (8-4).

The Rams had a better effort in singles play with seniors Maximillian Glodde and Ian Hunter both picking up wins. Glodde scored a 7-5, 6-0 win at the #5 position while Hunter scored a 6-3, 6-2 win in the #4 position.
