WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams gave it all they had, but the team could not stop the Shaw Bears in a 7-2 loss at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division Round-Up, Friday afternoon. The Rams fought hard for the entire match, but could not get the points they needed against the talented and experienced Shaw Bears.

The Rams opened the match on a down note with three doubles losses, 8-2, 8-1, and 8-4. The team was able to bounce back with some solid singles play as freshman Leandro Imaz (6-3, 1-6, 10-7) and sophomore Nick John (3-6, 6-3, and 11-9) were both able to record singles wins.
