Winston-Salem State Bashes Linclon, 22-4

Winston-Salem, NC -- Winston-Salem State continued to pound the Lincoln pitching staff as the Rams batter the Tigers for 22 runs on 19 hits, and took advantage of eight Lincoln errors as WSSU won its 13th consecutive game, 22-4 on Saturday in game two of the weekend series played at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.

The win moves the WSSU Rams to 19-6 overall, 5-0 in the CIAA. Lincoln (Pa) falls to 0-10 overall, 0-6 in the CIAA.

Tyler Hickernell and German Reyes led the WSSU hitting attack with four rbi's each, while Hickernell finished three for four with four runs scored as well, and Reyes finished two for four will four runs scored. Reyes also homered for the second consecutive game. Travis Moore stayed hot at the plate, going three for five with two runs scored and two rbi's, and Paco Martin kept his hot bat alive by going two for five with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Rafael Gonzalez finished two for four with three runs scored and an rbi, and Jacob Williams went two for two with two runs batted in.  Conner Andrus joined the hit brigade going one for two with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Brandon Harrison went one for three with two rbi and one run scored, and Christopher Kane had one rbi and scored a run in the win.

Scott Wells picked up his fourth win of the season, as the Rams used four pitchers in the victory.
