CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University men's cross country team closed out the regular season at the JWU Wildcat Cross Country Classic hosted by Johnson & Wales at McAlpine Creek Park Friday afternoon.
The men finished in 11th place with a score of 263.
Cecil Hairston, Jr. finished with a time of 32:47.7, while teammate
Xavier Watkins finished with a time of 33:54.1. Right behind Xavier was
Jaidon Izard who ran a time of 33:56.5 followed by Isaac Phillips who ran a time of 34:08.5.
Timothy Pittman, Jr. finished the course with a time of 43:09.6.
The men's cross country team will compete at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 27 in Salem, Virginia.
