SALISBURY, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women and men's cross country teams ran amazing at the Livingstone Invitational Friday morning.
The women captured first with a total of 25 points. Meanwhile, the men finished in second place with a total of 43 points.
Top finishes for the Lady Rams included
Ava Millner who came in second place with a time of 20:21.53.
Elicia Bryant finished in fourth with a time of 21:52.26.
Jaiyah Nelson came in seventh with a time o 22:33.28. Rounding out the top ten was
Rainn Sheppard finishing in ninth with a time of 22:58.73.
Kayla Nobles ran a time of 24:08.50 to finish in 12th and
Simone Kelly (25:12.00) finished in 14th.
On the men's side,
Zachary Patrick finished in third place with a time of 27:47.94, while K'lijah Jackson-Melton finished in fifth with a time of 28:37.09.
Henry Weah came in 14th place with a time of 31:23.23 and
E'Maije Ambrose finished in 16th with a time of 32:33.76.
Jyyheir Morrison had a top-20 finish coming in 19th with a time of 33:15.63.
WSSU will be back in action on October 23 at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Championships in Salem, Virginia.
