WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team will host #14 Virginia Union, tomorrow, December 17th inside the C.E. Gaines Center at 4:00 p.m. They will then host Bowie State on Monday, December 19th at 7:30 p.m.

Series
Dating back to 2006, the Panthers lead the series 11-10. VUU defeated the Rams 71-59 on February 25 in the semifinals of the CIAA tournament.
Dating back to 2005 the Bulldogs lead the series 9-6 over the Rams. WSSU defeated Bowie State 69-62 on January 31st last time out.

The Rams defeated Lincoln, yesterday December 15 69-65.
Jaylen Alston led all scorers with 17 points and seven rebounds along with three assists.
Jonathan Hicklin finished with 13 rebounds and two steals while
Isaac Parson also finished in double digits with 12.

CIAA Preseason:
Jonathan Hicklin and
Isaac Parson were named to the All-CIAA preseason team Backcourt and
Nathan Springs was named to the All-CIAA Frontcourt team. Overall, the Rams were selected to finish third in the season and second in the Southern Division.
CIAA Weekly Awards:
For week five,
Jaylon Gibson was named the CIAA Player of the Week after scoring 25 points in the victory over Clark Atlanta. He also had 11 rebounds and shot 9-of-14 from the field.

Atlantic Region Poll
For the fifth week in a row, the Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team is ranked in the D2SIDA Division II poll.
The men's basketball team moved up a spot to #6 after defeating Clark Atlanta 86-59.
Scouting Report
VUU 9-1 (0-0 CIAA) defeated Shepherd 73-69 on Monday, December 12th. Keleaf Tate scored 20 points in the victory.
BSU 3-9 (1-0 CIAA) defeated Livingstone 75-73 yesterday, December 15th in overtime. Mark Bradshaw led the way with 23 points. The Bulldogs will face Johnson C. Smith tomorrow, December 17 before facing the Rams.
