ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State Volleyball team finished 2-1 at the CIAA round-up over the weekend picking up victories over Lincoln (PA) and Virginia State. They dropped a match to Elizabeth City State.
The Rams moved to (8-13, 5-5 CIAA)
How it Happened Lincoln University (PA) (25-14, 25-22, 25-13)
The Rams controlled set one from start to finish. The Rams used a 5-0 run to gain a 17-8 lead which helped them win set one 25-14. Set two saw both the Lions and Rams go back and forth, the Rams found the momentum to take set two 25-22. The Rams dominated set three 25-13.

How It Happened vs. Virginia State University (25-23, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20, 15-12)
It took five sets as the Rams edged out the Trojans pulling out the victory. Both teams alternated wins in each set. VSU won set one 25-23. The Rams answered back, winning set two 25-21. The Trojans came back and won set three 25-22. The Rams would take the fourth set 25-20, then the fifth set 15-12.
