WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) championships on Thursday, October 26 at Green Hill Park in Salem, Virginia.
On the women's side,
Elicia Bryant has had a great freshman season with the Rams, besides from one meet she has had a top-ten finish in four meets this season. Her season-best time came with a fourth-place finish (20:23.3) at the Livingstone XC Invitational. All her times have been within 21:00.
For the men, Cecil Hariston, Jr. has run in every meet for the Rams with his fastest time coming in the 8K at the Livingstone with a time of 31:01.0. His best time which was also a season-high came in the 5k at the Greensboro XC Invitational with a time of 19:54.6. He improved every time from his freshman year.
Last season, the WSSU women finished sixth place.

12:45 p.m. - Start of Men's 8,000-meter championship race
