WINSTON-SALEM, N.C- The Winston Salem State University volleyball team started off strong but fell at home, 3-1 to the Falcons of St. Augustine University (25-15, 25-16, 25-14, 25-21).
 
WSSU moved to (5-7, 2-4 CIAA), while St. Augustine's University improved to (3-9, 3-3 CIAA).
 
How it Happened
The Rams used a 5-0 run to take control of the first set, which helped them win the first set 25-15. Set two was a game of runs. The biggest run came from the Falcons 4-0 giving them a huge lead 21-12, and they won set two, 25-16. Set three was controlled by the Falcons as they never lost the lead, taking set three, 25-15. The Rams never stopped fighting. In a back and forth set four regained the lead and never looked back, winning 25-21.
