WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team dropped two matches today in the Ferrum University tri-match.
WSSU is now 5-11 (2-4 CIAA).
In a very competitive five-set match the Rams fell short 3-2 (18-25, 27-25, 26-24, 23-25, 7-15). Ferrum took an early 1-0 lead after winning set one, 25-28. The Rams rallied back taking sets two, 27-25, and set three, 26-24 but Ferrum took the last two to win the match.
Against Carolina, the Rams opened the match winning set one, 25-23 but Carolina responded back winning the next three sets, 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.
