WINSTON-SALEM, N.C- The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team fought hard inside Whitaker Gymnasium but fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-21) to Shaw University.
The Rams moved to (12-17, 8-7 CIAA), while Shaw improved to (25-5, 16-0 CIAA)
How it Happened
Set one the Rams kept it close but couldn't get over the hump as Shaw took the set 25-20. In set two the Rams jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but the Bears used a 7-0 run to regain the lead and win set two 25-20. In set three the Rams went point for point with the Bears, using a 4-0 run pushed the Bears into the lead, winning the set 25-21.
