WINSTON-SALEM, N.C- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team will travel to Winter Park, Florida to play in the Rollins Thanksgiving Tournament, on Friday, November 24th, and Saturday, November 25th.
The Rams will take on Florida Southern College on Friday, tip-off is at 4:00 p.m. Then, on Saturday the Rams will face Rollins College at 2:00 p.m. Both games will be held inside Warden Arena.

CIAA Preseason:
Amaya Tucker and
Kennedi Simmons were named to the 2022-2023 All-CIAA Women's Basketball Preseason Team Backcourt. Tucker is returning as the reigning CIAA Player of the Year. She finished last season averaging 15.6 points per game and led the Rams in three-point percentage with 40%. Tucker also shot 74% from the free-throw line. Simmons was second on the Rams in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game. Kennedi shot 72% from the free-throw line.

Florida Southern College (2-0, 0-0 SSC) defeated Lee University (Tenn) 76-64 on November 11th. Sarah Lange led Mocs with 17 points. Lange is also their leading scorer with 16 points a game.

Rollins College (1-1, 0-0 SSC) defeated the University of Puerto Rico-Rico Piedras 80-53 November 18th. Clarie Erickson the Tar with 13 points, Ajalon Gillard had 12 points and grabbed six rebounds. Gillard is also the Tar leading scorer with 14 points, followed by Maddie Dillinger with 12.5 points. The Tar are averaging 71 points a game.
