PEMBROKE, N.C. -The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team dropped two contests on Saturday evening at the UNC Pembroke Invite.
They first fell to Chowan 3-1 before falling to host school UNCP 3-1.
The Rams are now 2-5 on the season.
How it Happened vs. Chowan
- The Rams scored the first point in set one, but Chowan used huge scoring runs to eventually take the set 25-22. Extra time was needed in set two, but the Rams pulled it out securing the 26-24 victory to tie the match at 1-1. Sets three (25-22) and four (25-19) went to Chowan.

- UNCP took the first two sets, 25-21 and 25-23 before WSSU answered back in set three winning 28-26. Trailing the match 2-1, UNCP took the fourth set 25-18 and the match 3-1.
