FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team fell to Fayetteville State in three straight sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-17) in Felton J. Capel Arena.
The Rams moved to 2-7 (0-2 CIAA), while FSU improved to 4-10 (1-1 CIAA).
Even though they fell in three sets, the Rams fought hard in all sets. Points went back and forth in the first set, but the Broncos used a 6-0 scoring run to capitalize on their lead and eventually took the set 25-17.
Set two was more intense with points going back and forth. The first scoring run came from the Broncos where they led 16-12 but the Rams answered back coming within two. FSU would eventually take the set 25-17.
Set three went to FSU, 25-17.
