LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA – The Winston-Salem State University football team dropped a nail bitter to Lincoln University Saturday afternoon to close out cross-divisional play.
The Rams fell 30-27.
WSSU is now 2-3 (2-1) on the season, while the Lions moved to 2-3.
How it Happened
- Lincoln took an early 7-0 lead with 9:11 to play in the first quarter.
- Lee had a two-yard pass to Mobley for a Touchdown! The extra point was good, and the game was tied 7-7 with 4:48 to play in the first quarter.
- A blocked punt from Josiah Alexander gave the Rams a first down on the 2-yard line with 1:37 to play in the quarter.
- Asa Barnes had a 1-yard run, and with the extra point, the Rams led 14-7 with 54 seconds to play in the first quarter.
- JahTwan Stafford with a 95-yard run on a punt return to give the Rams a 20-7 lead, extra point good, Rams lead 21-7 with 11:33 to play in the half.
- LU scored with 31.5 seconds left in the first half to trail the Rams 21-14.
- A safety gave LU a score of 16 to the Rams 24 with 2:59 to play in the third quarter.
- LU took a 22-21 lead over WSSU with 12:09 left to play in the game.
- Lee with a 19-yard pass to RJ Mobley to give the Rams the lead back, 27-22 with 1:02 left to play.
- The Lions took a 30-27 lead over Winston with 15.4 seconds left in the game.

- Daylin Lee was 10-for-16 for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
