CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team six game-winning streak was snapped by Johnson C. Smith 79-70 inside Brayboy Gymnasium.
The Rams moved to (11-4, 5-1 CIAA).
Jaylen Alston led the Rams with 19 points and six rebounds. Both
Imajae Dodd and
Jaylin Parker had 12 points, Dodd added nine rebounds.
Isaac Parson scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.

The Rams went 25-of-61 from the field, 15-of-21 from the free-throw line, and 5-of-15 from three. They scored 38 points in the paint, 12 points off turnovers, and grabbed 33 rebounds and 15 bench points.
In the first half, with the Golden Bulls up 9-6 with 14:19 left
Jaylin Parker hit a three-pointer tying the game 9-9.
Jaylen Alston gave the Rams a four-point lead with a made lay-up, making the score 18-14 with 7:12 left. With the score tied at 22-22 with 3:29 left, the Golden Bulls outscored the Rams 11-6 taking a 33-28 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Golden Bulls were up 40-34 and a Ketron "KC" Shaw lay-up cut the lead to three points 40-37 with 15:31 left.
Jaylin Parker hit a three-pointer cutting the lead to three 45-42 with 13:41 left. The Golden Bulls went on a 14-0 run making their lead 17 points, 59-42 with 9:25 left. The Rams couldn't overcome the Golden Bull's run, as a late-game comeback fell short.
