WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball teams dominate St. Augustine's 88-45 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to (12-4, 6-1 CIAA).
Jaylin Parker led the Rams with a season-high 18 points on six three-pointers. Ketron "KC" Shaw scored 16 points,
Jaylen Alston chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Quick Inside the Numbers
The Rams went 33- of-55 from the field, 13-of-23 from the free-throw line, and 9-of-20 from three. They scored 38 points in the paint, and 13 second-chance points. The Rams grabbed 44 rebounds and 26 bench points.
In the first half, the Rams jumped out to an early 9-1 lead on a
Jaylin Parker three-pointer with 17:25 left.
Imajae Dodd pushed the lead to 10 points on a dunk, making the score 21-11 with 11:08 left. The Rams outscored the Falcons 19-12 for the remainder of the half. The Rams would take a 40-23 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Falcons cut the lead to 43-33 with 16:24 left. The Rams stepped on the gas and never looked back outscoring the Falcons 40-12 for the remainder of the game.
