WINSTON-SALEM N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team will begin divisional play hosting St Augustine's University, on Thursday, January 18th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Lady Rams will then travel to Orangeburg, South Carolina taking Claflin University, on Saturday, January 20th. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside Tullis Arena.

CIAA Preseason:
Amaya Tucker and
Kennedi Simmons were named to the 2022-2023 All-CIAA Women's Basketball Preseason Team Backcourt. Tucker is returning as the reigning CIAA Player of the Year. She finished last season averaging 15.6 points per game and led the Rams in three-point percentage with 40%. Tucker also shot 74% from the free-throw line. Simmons was second on the Rams in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game. Kennedi shot 72% from the free-throw line.

The Panthers defeated Morris College 97-35 on Saturday, January 13th. Lauren Scott led the Panthers with 24 points, followed by Nya Morris with 14 points and eight rebounds, and Myla Lee chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds .Lauren Scott is the Panthers leading scorer averaging 14.9 points a game, followed by Nya Banks with 13.6 points per game.
The Panthers are averaging 75.4 points per game.
