WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University football team fell to #19 Johnson C. Smith, 24-15 Saturday afternoon inside Bowman Gray Stadium.
The Rams moved to 6-3 (4-2 CIAA) on the season.

• Lee went 10-for-25 with 116 yards and one touchdown.

Trevon Hester rushed 12-for-24 yards, and
Jayden Grimes had four receptions for 49 yards.
• On defense, Jamieson Alston had 11 tackles (7 solo) with 4 assists.
How it Happened
• JCSU got on the scoreboard first with a 6-yard run from Kamarr Edmonds to give the Golden Bulls an early 7-0 lead.
• The Golden Bulls added three more points on a field goal sending the Rams into halftime trailing 10-0.
• In the third quarter, JCSU added seven more points after a 27-yard reception to Edmonds.

Narique Smith had a huge 37-yard interception for a pick six to give the Rams six. The extra point was good and WSSU trailed 17-7.
• In the fourth quarter, Smith had another touchdown to lead 24-7 with 10:08 to play in the game.

Kaleb Washington had a 3-yard pass from
Daylin Lee, and the Rams went for two to make the score 24-15.
