WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball fell to Barton College 64-56 Tuesday Night inside the C.E. Gaines Center
The Rams moved to (1-4, 0–0 CIAA) on the season.
Christiana Mclean led the Rams with a career-high 27 points, followed by
La'Niya Simes with 10 points.

In the first quarter, the Bulldogs began the game on a 6-2 run. A
Christiana McLean lay-up made the score 8-5 for the Bulldogs, with 3:18 left on the clock. The Bulldogs increased the score to 11-5 with 3:02 remaining. WSSU answered with a
Christiana McLean jumper, making the score 11-7 with 2:42 remaining in the first quarter. The Bulldogs took a 15-9 lead into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, Barton went on a 5-0 run, taking a 20-9 lead with 7:47 left. A
Karina Scott three-pointer made the score 20-12 with 7:39 remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs answered back with a 6-0 run, making the score 26-12 with 5:54 left. A

Sierra Hunter cut the lead down to 54-49, on a lay-up with 5:21 to play in the game. Barton went on a 5-0 run pushing their lead to 10 points, 59-49 with 3:20 left. A
Christiana McLean jumper cut the lead down to 59-53 with 2:00 remaining. Barton closed out the game defeating the Rams 64-56.
