FROSTBURG, M.D. - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team fell to West Virginia Wesleyan College to close out the Jim Crawley Conference Challenge.

The Rams move to (0-2, 0–0 CIAA) on the season.

Christiana McLean led the Rams with 15 points, while Chloe Williams scored 10 points and Jakaiya Mack chipped in with 10 points.

The Rams went 20-of-59 from the field, 15-of-16 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 31 rebounds, and scored 32 points in the paint, 13 fast break points, and 14 bench points. 

In the first quarter, the Rams took an early 8-4 lead, on a Sierra Hunter lay-up with 5:22 left. The Bobcats went on a 6-0 run, taking a 10-8 lead with 2:37 left. The Bobcats extended their lead to 14-10 with 23 seconds remaining. The Bobcats took a 14-10 lead into the second quarter. 

In the second quarter, Jakaiya Mack cut the lead to 14-12, on a lay-up with 9:35. The Bobcats went on a 6-0 run, taking a 22-14 lead with 8:05 left. Christiana McLean hit a jumper, making the score 25-20 with 5:43 left. Christiana McLean cut the lead to 27-24 on another jumper with 3:44 left. The Bobcats took a 33-27 lead into halftime. 

In the third quarter, the Bobcats extended their lead to 38-29 with 8:31 left.  Chloe Williams hit two free-throws, making the score 38-31 with 8:12 left An Alana Biosse tip-in cut the score 40–35 with 6:35 remaining. The Bobcats extended their lead to 47-37 with 3:31 left. The Bobcats scored 49-39 into the fourth quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, Zion Duncan made the score 52-41 on a lay-up with 7:24 left. WVWC extended the lead to 57-43 with 5:05 left. The Bobcats went on a 6-2 run, taking a 63-45 lead with 3:18 left. The Rams went on a 6-0 run, making the score 63-51 on a Christiana McLean lay-up with 52 seconds.

The women will return home for their home opener on Wednesday, November 13th welcoming-in Lees- McRae College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
