WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team fell to Bowie State University 73-52, inside the C.E. Gaines Center Tuesday night.
The Rams moved (2-7, 0–2 CIAA) on the season
Karina Scott led the Rams with a game-high 18 points, followed by
Chloe Williams with 15 points.

The Rams went 19-of-47 from the field, 6-of-15 from three, and 8-of-15 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 36 rebounds, and scored 26 points in the paint, 12 points off turnovers, 16 fast break points, and 33 bench points.
In the first quarter, the Bulldogs took an early 6-2 lead (7:11). The Rams went on a 5-0 run, tying the game 9-9 on a
Karina Scott three-pointer with 1:19 remaining in the quarter. The Bulldogs scored 12-9 into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, the Bulldogs extended their lead to 18-11 (8:11). A
Karina Scott three-pointer cut the lead down to 18-16 (7:33). With the score 23-19, Christana McLean jumper made the score 23-21 (5:46). The Bulldogs answered back with a 5-0, extending their lead to 28-21 (1:42).
Karina Scott hit another three-pointer, making the score 28-24 with 1:28 remaining in the quarter. The Bulldogs took a 32-27 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Bulldogs began the quarter on a 10-0 run extending their lead to 42-27 (7:39). The Rams went on a 6-0 run, a

Karina Scott couldn't miss as she hit another three-pointer, cutting the score to 46-40 (3:20). The Bulldogs closed out the quarter on a 10-2 run, taking a 56-42 lead into the 4th quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs outscored the Rams 17-10.
