WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team fell at home to Lincoln (Pa,) University 65-45, inside the C.E. Gaines Center Tuesday night.
The Rams moved to (2-8, 0–3 CIAA) on the season.
Both Jalessa Lanier &
La'Niya Simes led the Rams with eight points, followed by Jakiaya Mack with seven points.

The Rams went 16-of-54 from the field, 4-of-16 from three, and 9-of-13 from the free-throw line. They grabbed 28 rebounds and scored 16 points in the paint, 21 points off turnovers, 12 fast-break points, and 30 bench points.
In the first quarter,
Christiana McLean gave the Rams an early 4-0 lead with a lay-up (8:14). The Lions went on a 12-0 run, taking a 12-4 lead (5:53).
Karina Scott cut the score to 12-9 on a three-pointer. (3:18) The Lions answered with a 9-0 run, extending their lead to 21-9 with 49 seconds remaining in the quarter. The Lions took a 21-11 lead into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, the Rams went on a 7-2 run, cutting the score down to 23-18, on a
La'Niya Simes lay-up (5:42). Lincoln extended their lead to 28-18 (4:42). The Lions took a 31-20 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Lincoln (Pa.) went on a 9-3 run, pushing the score to 40-23 (6:20). A Lions lay-up made the score 42-24 (2:42). The Rams closed out the quarter on a 12-2 run, on a Jakiaya Mack lay-up. The Lions took a 44-36 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, two
La'Niya Simes free-throws chipped the lead down 44-38 (9:40). The Lions finished the game with a 13-5 run.
