WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team defeated Johnson C. Smith University 77-52 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to (14-5, 8-3 CIAA).
Ketron "KC" Shaw led the Rams with 16 points. Jaylen Alston recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, Jaylin Parker also scored 15 points. Imajae Dodd chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Rams went 30-of-55 from the field, 13-of -17 from the free-throw line, and 4-of–15 from three. They scored 46 points in the paint, 18 second-chance points, and grabbed 40 rebounds. The Rams bench scored 25 points.
In the first half, the Rams went on an early 8-0 run, jumping out to a 10-3 lead highlighted by a Ketron "KC" Shaw jumper with 16:11 left. The Rams went on another 10-0 run extending their lead to 10 points 24-14 highlighted by a Jaylin Parker jumper with 8:19 remaining. The Golden Bulls cut the lead down to seven points 30-23 with 3:51 left. Closing out the half on a 12-0 run, Jaylin Parker hit a three-pointer, giving the Rams a 42-23 lead into halftime.
In the second half, an early 6-0 run extended 24 points to 52-28 Rams, on an Imajae Dodd lay-up with 16:13 left. Jaylen Alston gave the Rams their largest lead of the game of 26 points, with a made free-throw 62-36 with 9:49 left.
