WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team came up short to Livingstone College 61-60 inside a rocking C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams moved to (14-7, 8-4 CIAA).
Ketron "KC" Shaw led the Rams with 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Jaylen Alston added 11 points and nine rebounds, and
Isaac Parson chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.

The Rams went 21-of-58 from the field, 14-of -27 from the free-throw line, and 4-of–17 from three. They scored 32 points in the paint, 14 fast break points, grabbed 44 rebounds, and scored 13 points off turnovers.
In the first half, the Rams went on an early 6-0 run, jumping out to a 6-0 lead highlighted by a Ketron "KC" Shaw lay-up with 18:05 left. The Blue Bears answered back with a 7-0 run taking a 7-6 lead with 16:39 left. Another 7-0 run by the Blue Bears extended their lead to 14-8 with 13:28 remaining. The Rams went on their own 7-0 run giving them the lead at 20-18 with 8:51 left on two
Jaylen Alston free-throws. Ketron "KC" Shaw extended the Rams lead to six points with a lay-up 35-29 with 1:24 left. The Rams took a 35-32 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Rams went on an 8-0 run extending their lead to 43-32 on a
Tristan Davis lay-up with 16:02 left.
Isaac Parson pushed the Rams lead to 10 points on a three-pointer 46-36 with 12:56 remaining in the game. Ketron "KC" Shaw extended the Rams lead to 12 points, on a lay-up 51-39 with 11:05 to play. The Blue Bears outscored the Rams 22-9, taking a 61-60 with 16 seconds left.
Imajae Dodd was fouled on a missed game-winning lay-up and with two seconds left he missed both free throws as the Blue Bears grabbed the rebound.
