WINSTON-SALEM N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team dominated Fayetteville State University 75-50 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to (16-8, 10-5 CIAA).
Jaylen Alston led the Rams with a career-high of 35 points and seven rebounds.
Jeremy Dixon scored 12 points and
Jaylin Parker and
Imajae Dodd chipped in with eight points each.

The Rams went 24-of-48 from the field, 20-of-24 from the free-throw line, and 7-of–16 from three. They scored 30 points in the paint, and 11 fast break points while grabbing 29 rebounds, and scoring 22 bench points.
In the first half, the Rams took an early 14-2 lead on two
Jaylen Alston free-throws with 14:14 left.
Jeremy Dixon hit a three-pointer extending the Rams to 17 points, 26-9 with 9:22 left.
Imajae Dodd pushed the lead to 20 points on a dunk 35-15 with 2:17 remaining. The Rams took a 35-19 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Broncos started the half on a 6-2 run making the score 37-25 with 18:11 left. Ketron "KC" Shaw answered back with a three-pointer making the score 40-25 with 17:39 remaining. The Rams went on an 11-1 run extending the lead to 25 points 51-26, on a jumper by
Jaylen Alston as he was fouled, connecting on the and-one.
Jaylen Alston gave the Rams their largest lead, 33 points, on a free-throw 72-39 with 3:50 left.
