WINSTON-SALEM N.C.- The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team will wrap up the regular season on the road this week. First up, the Lady Rams will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on Shaw University on Thursday, February 22nd. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.
The Lady Rams will head to Salisbury, North Carolina on Saturday, February 24th, facing off with Livingstone College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside New Trent Gymnasium.

Series Information vs. Shaw University
Since 2006 this will be the 29th match-up between the Rams and Bears. The Bears currently lead the series 18-10. This will be the second match-up between the Rams and Bears this season. The Bears won the first match-up 57-51 on January 24th, 2024.

CIAA Preseason:
Amaya Tucker and
Kennedi Simmons were named to the 2022-2023 All-CIAA Women's Basketball Preseason Team Backcourt. Tucker is returning as the reigning CIAA Player of the Year. She finished last season averaging 15.6 points per game and led the Rams in three-point percentage with 40%. Tucker also shot 74% from the free-throw line. Simmons was second on the Rams in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game. Kennedi shot 72% from the free-throw line.
CIAA Weekly Awards
- Jakaiya Mack was named CIAA Player of the Week for week seven.
- La'Niya Simes was named CIAA Rookie of the Week for weeks 10, 11 ,12 and 13.

The Bears defeated Johnson C. Smith University 62-56 on Saturday, February 17th. Zaniyyah Ross-Barnes led the Bears with a double-double 21 points and 11 rebounds, followed by Lajain Elfatairy with 15 points, Alexis Radcliff chipped in with 11 points. Alexis Radcliff is the Bears leading scorer averaging 14.8 points a game, followed by Zaniyyah Ross-Barnes with 10.1 points per game.
The Bears are scoring 63.5 points a game.
Livingstone College (5-15, 3-13 CIAA)
The Blue Bears fell to Fayetteville State University 75-66 on Saturday, February 17th. Both Thalia Carter led the Blue Bears with 17 points, followed by Nielle Reaves with 14 points and eight rebounds. Morgan Kelson chipped in with 10 points. Jamiah Lane is the Blue Bears leading scorer averaging 10.9 points a game, followed by Samiyah Briggs with 10.0 points per game. Andre'sia Alexander with 9.1 points per game
