WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The 2024 football themes have been set for the WSSU football season, with each game to be played at Bowman Gray Stadium.
The 2024 schedule features five home games, all on Saturday. Below is a complete breakdown of the game themes and times for the upcoming year:
September 14 vs. Ohio Dominican University – Red Out | 6:00 p.m.
This will be the second match-up between the two opponents with the Rams facing ODU for the first time last season.
September 28 vs. Bowie State University – White Out | 1:00 p.m.
Our second game will have multiple opportunities for fans to be engaged and get involved. Not only is the theme White Out, but we are also welcoming our first responders, veterans, and community partners (Atrium Health) to be in attendance. Each group will be recognized throughout the game.
October 12 vs. Shaw – Black Out | 1:00 p.m.
For the third game we will recognize our HORN$ members, fraternity, and sororities and welcome back our former student-athletes to be recognized throughout the game. That week is also mental health awareness week, and the Athletics Department has partnered with Hilinski's Hope to help share Tyler's story and spread awareness about the stigma of mental health.
October 26 vs. Johnson C. Smith –Pink Day/Senior Day | 1:00 p.m.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so we encourage all fans to wear pink to the game as we recognize all our Breast Cancer survivors. We also will recognize all our graduating seniors and the Powerhouse of Red and White will also host its annual Cheer Block Party. The senior recognition will take place at the very beginning of pre-game. All the fun will also take place during the Rams HBCUGo game.
November 9 vs. Fayetteville – Homecoming | 1:30 p.m.
During our last homestand, we want all alumni to come back, and cheer on the Rams to victory. We also will have and recognize our community partners Blue Cross Blue Shield during the game.
