WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball drops their conference home opener to Lincoln University (Pa.) 67-59 Monday night.
The Rams improved to ( 3-9, 0-2 CIAA) on the season.
Micah Jones,
Wesley Tubbs III and Masuan Moore-Byrant led the Rams with 11 points ,followed by
Abou Camara chipping in with 14 rebounds.

The Rams went 22-of-53 from the field, 9-of-18 from the free-throw line, 6-of–20 from three. The Rams grabbed 32 rebounds, 30 points in the paint, 11 forced turnovers, 11 fast break points and 19 bench points.

In the first half, the Lions took an early 5-2 lead.
Tyre Boykin made the score 5-4 with a lay-up (16:11). The Lions went on a 8-1 run, taking a 13-5 lead (12:31). A

Micah Jones and-one gave the Rams their first lead of the game 24-23 with 3:14 remaining.
Micah Jones extended the Rams lead to 28-23 with a three-pointer with 1:42 remaining in the half. The Rams took a 28-23 lead into halftime.
In the second half, a
Lorenzo Caldwell free-throw gave the Rams a 31-25 lead (15:53).
Lorenzo Caldwell hit a three-pointer making the score 36-29 (14:20). The Lions went on a 11-3 run, taking a 40-39 lead (9:41). With the score tied at 49-49,
Jeremy Dixon put the Rams ahead 51-49 on a lay-up. Lincoln (Pa.) hit a three-pointer giving them a 56-54 lead with 2:49 remaining in the game. The Lions closed out the game on a 11-5 run.
