WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Claflin University 82-47 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams moved to (3-11, 0-4 CIAA, 0-1 South) on the season.
Tyre Boykin led the Rams with eight points ,followed by Jeremy Dixon and Lance Gill with six points.

The Rams went 18-of-54 from the field, 11-of-19 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 28 rebounds, 28 points in the paint, 10 second chance points and 22 bench points.
How It Happened
In the first half, a Micah Jones jumper gave the Rams a 4-3 lead (15:32). Claflin went on a 16-1 run, taking a 26-11 lead (8:20). The Rams went on a 5-0 run, cutting the score to 29-18 on a Jaiden Thompson free-throw (5:40). The Panthers closed out the half on a 11-4 run, taking a 40-22 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Claflin went on a 13-0 run, extending their lead to 53-22 (16:20). Claflin lead would grow out to 66-36 (8:09). The Panthers took their largest lead of the game 74-38.
