WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– The Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team fell to Fayetteville State University 80-65 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams moved to (3-12, 0-5 CIAA, 0-2 South) on the season.

Micah Jones led the Rams with 22 points, followed by Masaun Moore-Byrant with 11 points.

Wesley Tubbs III gave the Rams an 8-4 lead on a lay-up (15:42). The Broncos went on a 16-2 run, giving them a 20-10 lead (10;42). With the score 30-19, FSU
Masaun Moore-Bryant went on a 7-0 run, cutting the score to 30-26 on a lay-up (2:03). Two Masuan Moore-Byrant free-throws made the score 33-28 with 1:42 left in the half.
Tyre Boykin hit a three-pointer with seven seconds remaining, 40-33 as the Broncos took a 40-33 lead into halftime.
In the second half, FSU went on a 6-0 run, extending their lead to 46-30 (17:11). Two
Jeremy Dixon free-throws, cut the score to 46-37 (16:11). The Broncos went on a 7-0 run making the score 53-37 (14:57). A
Jeremy Dixon jumper made the score 60-47 (8:45). The Rams couldn't get the deficit under 12 points.
