WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University Department of Athletics has announced the recognition of National Girls & Women's Sports Day will take place during the women's and men's basketball doubleheader when they host Bluefield State on Wednesday, February 5 inside the C.E. Gaines Center.

We will celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day during halftime of the women's game.

The women will tip-off with Bluefield at 5:30 p.m.
 
All Female youth organizations from the community that attend the game will be recognized by participating in the halftime parade which will include all the female student-athlete teams. The teams will form a tunnel and the various groups will walk through it and at the end take a group selfie.
 
Each participant will receive a t-shirt, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield, and get a chance to meet our amazing female Student-Athletes.
 
All organizations must register to attend.  Girls under 13 will receive free admission to the game.  All parents and accompanying family members must pay to attend.
