Former Ram Standout Javonte Cooke Signs Two-Way Contract with Portland Trail Blazers

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A 2022 graduate from the Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team, Javonte Cooke has signed a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
 
Cooke, the Columbia, South Carolina native played in 88 games including 55 starts in the G league over the last three seasons, averaging 14.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists for the Oklahoma City Blue and Iowa Wolves.
 
As a Ram, Cooke averaged 17.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 steals across 23 games while leading the team to a CIAA Southern Division title. He ranked first in the conference in three-point field goals per game and 3-point percentage. Over his college career, he amassed 1,220 career points and earned All-COAA Backcourt and All-Tournament honors.
