Softball Announces 2025 Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University softball team has announced its 2025 schedule, which includes 10 home games at Twin Cities Ball Park.

The Rams will open its season on February 8 hosting Benedict College at Twin Cities for a doubleheader. WSSU will travel to Mount Olive, North Carolina to compete in the 2025 UMO Softball Round Robin February 14-15 facing UMO, Kutztown and West Virginia State.

To start March, the Rams will host Chowan University on March 7th and travel to Elizabeth City on March 15th. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) CIAA round-up will take place March 20-22 in Raliegh, North Carolina, at Walnut Creek Park. 

Southern Division play will begin with the Rams traveling to Fayetteville State on March 28th before hosting Shaw University.

WSSU will travel for a non-conference game against Virginia Union on April 4th, then conclude its home slate with Johnson C. Smith (April 5) and Livingstone College (April 11).

Marketing themes for this season include the annual pink game when the Rams host Shaw University on March 29, the Alumni Game, and Senior Day when the Rams welcome in Johnson C. Smith on April 5th. 

The Rams will conclude the regular season at Claflin on April 26th.

The CIAA championships will occur April 30- May 3 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Fans will get a chance to meet the team and sign autographs during the spring edition of the Meet the Rams on January 27th during the men's and women's basketball games.
