DURHAM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University football team dropped a close contest to Shaw University on Saturday afternoon inside Durham Memorial Stadium.
The Rams move to 3-4 (1-3 CIAA).

How it Happened
- Shaw fumbled the ball and Zymiere Dempsey-Freeman recovered it and ran it in for a touchdown to put the Rams on board first. 6-0 with 13:51 to play in the second quarter.
- Daylin Lee had a 1-yard run for a touchdown to put the Rams up 13-0 with the extra point by Angel Gomez-Corna with 7:22 to play in the half.
- Shaw got on the board with a touchdown right before halftime, Rams lead 13-7.
- Shaw tied the game with 6:05 to play, missed the extra point. 13-all the score in the fourth quarter.
- Shaw took a 20-13 lead with seven seconds remaining in the game.
