Winston Salem N.C- The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team will travel to Bowie,Maryland , participating in the second CIAA Round-Up this season. First up the Rams will take on Virginia Union University, on Saturday, October 18th. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m. 

The Lady Rams will return to action later on, taking on Lincoln University (Pa.) at 6:00 p.m. WSSU will return to action on Sunday, October 19th facing-off with Bowie State University at 9:00 a.m. All matches will be held in A.C. Jordan Arena.

• Holiday Ellis was named CIAA Offensive Player of the Week for week two, while teammate Celina Johnson was named Rookie of the Week for week 2.

• WSSU was predicted to finish four overall in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

The Panthers defeated Lincoln (Pa.) 3-0, on Monday, October 13th. Madison Hill  leads in kills with 134, and blocks with 31. Ashlee Franklin leads in assists with 374. and aces with 23. Leilah Beasley leads in digs with 179.

The Lions fell to Virginia Union 3-0 on Monday, October 4th. Erica Taylor leads in kills with 229, Jaida Lumpkin  leads in assists with 336.  Janaa Smith leads in assists with 39. Mariah Webster leads in digs with 338 .Erinn Taylor leads in blocks with 50. 

Scouting Bowie State University 

The Bulldogs fell to Bluefield State 3-0 on Monday, October 13th. Lyric Snowden leads in kills with 141, Makenna Scott leads in assists with 240.  Taylor Johnson leads in digs with 216 and aces 22. Nina Edwards leads in blocks with 61.
