CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University football team fell to Johnson C. Smith 52-27 Saturday evening.

The Rams moved to 4-5, 3-4 CIAA.


Inside the Numbers

• Daylin Lee was 17-for-23 for 176 yards with two touchdowns. He rushed for 4-for-13 with one touchdown.
• Noah Marshall had 15 attempts for 128 yards.
• Jahari Mitchell had five receptions for 101 yards and one touchdown.
• Yetristan "Zy"  Brown had 8 tackles (7 solo) and one assist.

How it Happened

• JCSU got on the board first leading the Rams 7-0 with 7:19 to play in the first quarter.
• Gilberto Lorenzana got the Rams on board with a 22-yard field goal as the Rams trailed 7-3 with 4:57 to play in the first quarter.
• JCSU added seven more with 12:20 to play in the second quarter, led 14-3 over the Rams.
• The Golden Bulls added seven more taking a 21-3 over the Rams.
• Lorenzana kicked a 24-yard field go with 2:13 to play in the first half. Rams trailed 21-6.
• JCSU added seven more with 14 seconds remaining in the first half, took a 28-6 lead going into halftime.
• The Golden Bulls added another seven in the third quarter.
• The Rams outscored JCSU 21-17 in the fourth quarter with touchdown passes from Mitchell and Sean Walker Jr.
