Charlotte, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University volleyball team sweeps Johnson C. Smith University 3-0, inside Brayboy Gymnasium.
The Rams improved to 13-9 (10-3 CIAA) on the season.

In set one, the Rams jumped to a 6-1 on a Golden Bulls error. A Zoe Chesson ace extended the Rams lead to 9-1. JSCU went on 5-0 run, cutting the lead to 12-8 on a kill. The Rams went on a 6-1 run, extending their lead to 19-11 on a Holiday Ellis kill. The Golden Bulls went on a 4-1 run, trimming the lead to 22-15 on a kill. WSSU took set one 25-16.
In set two, the Rams took a 4-3 lead on a Golden Bulls error. WSSU went on a 5-1 run, taking a 15-10 on a Malani Martin kill. WSSU extended their lead to 19-11 on an attack error. WSSU took set two 25-14.
In set three, Kalyn Cuthbertson gave the Rams a 4-0 lead on an ace. The Rams extended their lead to 10-5, on a Golden Bulls attack error. JSCU cut the lead to 10-7 on a Rams error. WSSU went on a 6-1 run, extending their lead to 19-11 on an attack error. JSCU went on a 4-1 run, cutting the lead to 20-16 on a kill. A Kamiyah Wilson kill gave the Rams a 22-17 lead. WSSU took set three 25-20.
